A Little About Us...
Since opening in 2018, Lone Star Auction Horses has helped find new homes for over 100,000 horses that were owned by different killbuyers all across the country. Many horses are purchased for the intent to go to slaughter while others are purchased simply for resale.  Any horse that is sold at a public auction is very likely to end up being purchased by a killbuyer.  Whether they are bought with the intent for slaughter or resale they all have the same thing in common. They are all in need of a home. Our main goal here at Lone Star is to give each horse the chance they deserve to find the best home possible and for the people buying them to have a great experience doing so. Getting to know each and every horse to the best of our ability makes it easier to find them the most suitable  forever home. We have found that being very honest about the horses and any issues that they may or may not have makes them so much less likely to end up back at auction and right back in the same situation that they are in now. When you are able to tell people everything that you know about a horse and they know that they can trust what you tell them so many more people are willing to give them a chance. We work so hard to do right by the horses and everyone we meet along the way. And nothing means more to us than being able to be a part of that new journey...Helping horses find homes is what we do best !!!
